Custom Machine Works, Inc. opened its doors in 1957. After 55 years, we still remain one of the most highly respected machine shops in the Southern United States. We are located in the heart of Dixie Land, West Monroe, Louisiana.
Ralph Magouirk and Frank (Sonny) Wimberley, (Brother-in-Laws) had the skills and the knowledge of the paper converting industry. With their expertise and dedication to the industry, Custom Machine Works, Inc. was born. Ralph Magouirk has left us for a better place in 2008.
Ralph's son, Kelly Magouirk joined Custom Machine Works in the 70's and has followed his father's footsteps in the business. Kelly has great knowledge in the Paper Converting industry and has brought the company into the Twenty First Century with today's technology.
The Backbone of the company is the men and women that make Custom Machine Works what it is today. These men and women take great pride in their positions, to make sure that the jobs are done correctly, and customers are handled in the most courtesy way. The team at Custom Machine Works has over 180 years of machine shop knowledge.
Custom Machine Works, Inc. specializes in the machining, machine designing, machine building, and fabricating paper converting machinery; which we also have many customers in all industry. With our newly added 10,000 sq. ft. building, No job is too large or too small for you or our customers.
Back in the 1980's we built Phil Robertson of Duck Commander, a reed cutting machine that they are still using to this day.
Custom machines and fabricates carbon steels, stainless, aluminum, tool steels, alloys, nylons and plastic. We service a wide variety of industries and enjoy the reputation of being a close tolerance company in precision milling, turning, boring and fabricating. Custom design and manufactures special machine parts for all industry. We also rework, repair and modify existing equipment.
